Guide Grade 7 students through the core mechanisms of evolution with this hands-on station activity focused on natural selection in action. Designed to help middle schoolers connect environmental pressures with population trait shifts, this resource provides an interactive, station-based setup to explore biological diversity.

What Students Practice

• Explaining how heritable variations influence individual survival and reproductive success in changing environments.
• Identifying specific environmental pressures that favor particular traits within a population.
• Comparing trait frequencies across generations to observe natural selection over time.

What's Included

• ✔️ Station Cards detailing real-world scenarios and natural selection concepts
• ✔️ Student Station Recording Sheet to guide data collection and written responses
• ✔️ Station Wrap-Up Activity to synthesize core takeaways and assess understanding
• ✔️ Teacher Guide & Answer Key complete with learning objectives, teaching tips, discussion prompts, and common student misconceptions

Classroom Application

Set up these stations around your classroom for cooperative group learning, or use them as a structured review activity before an evolution assessment. The step-by-step teacher guide and structured student recording sheets allow for low-prep facilitation while keeping students accountable for their analysis.
